Exploring & Educating in Acton, MA

    The Discovery Museum - based on the principle that kids are capable of anything, the Discovery Museum explores science, nature, and play all at once for ages 0-10.

    The Quarry Contemporary Arts International - located in the old town quarry, this art museum educates about contemporary art and sculpture.

    Assabet River Rail Trail - About 12.5 miles of trails connecting Acton, Marlborough, Hudson, Stow, and Maynard. Plus while you’re down at the river, why not take up fly-fishing? There is a large community for it in Acton!

    Acton Canoe Launch - Canoe or kayak down the Assabet River with this convenient boat launch.

This gorgeous (and 100% free) spot is a great place to walk some nature trails through beautiful open meadows, through woodlands, along glaciers, and through a bog.

Idylwilde Farms - Owned and farmed by the Napoli brothers since the 1930s, you can look forward to checking out the farm, the farm store, and the greenhouse on your visit. Many locals don’t want to shop anywhere else!
