The Back Bay

In the heart of Boston, along the Charles River is Back Bay. This sophisticated area is most famous for its rows of Victorian Brownstones homes considered one of the best persevered examples of 19th century urban design in the United States as well as many architecturally significant individual buildings and cultural institutions such as the Boston Public Library.

About Living in the Back Bay

Back Bay is upscale shopping and vibrant nightlife, set against Boston’s trademark historic charm.

The area of Back Bay was modeled after Paris; from the shop-lined Newbury Street, sidewalk cafés, and strolling along the Commonwealth Avenue Mall, all channel the City of Lights.

According to research, originally the site of a true bay, early city planners filled in hundreds of acres of tidal flats to create this unique residential district, which has represented elegant living in Boston since the turn of the last century
